Strategic Thinking

Strategic thinking is the manner in which people think about, assess, view, and create the future for themselves and others. Strategic thinking is an extremely effective and valuable tool. One can apply strategic thinking to arrive at decisions that can be related to your work or personal life. Strategic thinking involves developing an entire set of critical skills, including developing a clearly defined and focused business or personal vision, clearly defining their objectives and developing a strategic action plan, learning to be patient and not rush to conclusions and judgments, and learning to recognize internal and external signs to guide decision making and planning.

Students will be taught to become strategic thinkers who are conscious listeners, deep thinkers, thoughtful speakers, thorough observers, and deliberate leaders who improve their success and that of others. Students will also be taught to prioritize tasks, control emotional impulses, develop effective questioning skills, and consider the positives and negatives of consequences.
