Mathematics

Mathematics is the study of topics such as numbers, structure, space, and change. Mathematicians seek out patterns and use them to formulate new theories. Mathematicians resolve the truth or falsehood of theories by mathematical proof. Mathematics developed from counting, calculation, measurement, and the systematic study of the shapes and motions of physical objects. Practical mathematics has been a human activity from as far back as written records exist.

Math is all around us, in everything we do. It is the building block for everything in our daily lives, including mobile devices, architecture (ancient and modern), art, money, engineering, and even sports. Students will study a variety of math concepts including numbers and operations, algebra, geometry and measurement, data analysis and probability, and calculus.
