Students will study the message and meaning of the Holy Qur’an in depth in this course. Students will study the language and teachings of Imam W. Deen Mohammed to understand the meanings and interpretations of symbols and parables in the Qur’an and other scriptures to comprehend the world around them, their role in that world, and how to apply the knowledge they gain in different domains of their lives whether business, education, family life, community, etc.

This course will be offered in conjunction with Arabic and will progress in difficulty as students’ knowledge increases. Students will intensely study surahs using Qur’anic Arabic and interpretation to understand the context of the message when it was revealed and its relevance and impact today. Students will learn how to recite these surahs and expound on them in a community setting as part of this class. Students who progress successfully in this class can become hafiz or hafizah, guardians of or memorizers of the Holy Qur’an as a result, but all students who take this course will be more conscious of their Creator and their purpose in creation.

This class will be offered multiple times at different grade levels with a different emphasis or theme that will be explored over the course of the enrollment years.
